In my search for the experience of the Zone, I have tried different approaches. Some of them worked fine, but were not always reliable. I have learned to accept that – the Zone is somewhat elusive experience, which doesn’t always come when invited.
However, when you work on it for some time with attention and intention, you start to notice different flavours in every experience. The Zone is not always the same.
Actually, when first time noticed, the Zone was identified with extreme effort, inhuman and almost supernatural doings which demanded every drop of will, heart and masculine strength. When everything was used, and the demand was still here for more, some people just slip into no-time/no-space dimension in which everything is possible, including them running - or sailing or whatever they were doing – for indefinite long period of time. And, as a by-product, having a great time and enjoying in heavenly feeling of freedom of any physical bondage.
Although I do prefer different entrance into the Zone, the one characterized by easiness and bliss, I do not run away from this one, when it happens by itself. And it did happen when I was exercising long windsurfing runs and managed to travel the distance of 173 kilometres in one day!
I really do not know why I didn't use it more! My speed board was definitly neglected. Now I understand that I can sail her in the condition where I usualy chosed 90-95 liters slalom board. Her acceleration is amazing and can tgake me through lools without problem, in spite of having "only" 73 liters of volume!
Southwest wind was promising - but only on the forecast. On the spot (lake Šoderica, Koprivnica), almost no wind, with some gusts up to 12-13 kt, but very short. Lighter guys were on 7,5, and I didn't even bother to rig. However, it was nice to see some friends, and say hello after quite long time!
This summer in Croatia is quite good for the tourists who likes calm and sunny weather. But, for windsurfers, it's one of the worst in last decade. Winds are rare and weak - so it is good to have a big board on which you can safely stand, even without the wind!
There is one 
Well, it is a part of the game. Chrashes are inevitable, specialy if you windsurf without compromising. Today, I had one. But, also I did push my frontiers a litlle bit further - personal best of 29 knots on nautical mile!
As usual this summer in Croatia, bora wind comes with a cold front from the nort, a lot of clouds and rain, and not refreshing at all.
